Competency Assessment Tool... Coming Soon!

We will soon be launching our very own Competency Assessment Tool based on the Association for Project Management (APM) Competence Framework available via our website.

The APM Competence Framework sets out the competencies required for effective project, programme and portfolio management. It aims to reflect both current good practice and the future needs of the profession and provides a benchmark for further development. The framework consists of 29 competencies, each based around outcomes that project professionals need to achieve.

The free-to-use self-assessment will provide guidance for users to rate their knowledge and experience against each competence and then view graphical reports showing how they compare to best practice requirements for 14 different APM role profiles. These role profiles allow the user to consider development needs for their current roles and future roles they may be working towards.

The Competency Assessment Tool can also be used for teams and include validation interviews, providing organisations with a clear view of team strengths and weaknesses, allowing for targeted training and development interventions that improve project performance.
